  • Digital queue

The live waitlist. People join from a phone, and staff see who is next.

  • Reservations

Booked tables and walk-ins stay on one list for the same service.

  • Table management

Seat the next party at an open table without giving that table to two groups.

The floor

The host stand should not be the bottleneck.

  • The paper list breaks

Names get crossed out, party sizes get guessed, and the next table goes to whoever is standing closest.

  • Guests keep asking

The host spends the rush answering “how much longer?” instead of seating the room.

  • Tables sit empty

A party is ready and a table is open, but the two are not on the same screen.

How it works

From the door to the table.

  1. 01

    They join

A walk-in scans the QR or the host adds them. Name, phone, and party size land on the live list.

  2. 02

    They wait with a number

Their link shows where they are in line, so they can sit at the bar instead of crowding the stand.

  3. 03

    You seat them

WhatsApp goes out when the table is ready.

On the list

What the restaurant waitlist actually does.

  • Digital queue

Party size, quoted wait, and how long each group has waited, on a phone, tablet, or the stand computer.

  • QR and link check-in

Guests join in the browser. You can still add someone by hand when they will not use a phone.

  • WhatsApp updates

A personal link on join, and another message when the table is ready. Two-way SMS is not live yet.

  • Reservations

Booked parties and walk-ins stay on one list, so Friday night is not two systems.

  • Table management

Seat the next party against an open table without giving that table to two groups.

  • Service numbers

Walk-ins, average wait, peak hours, and no-shows. You can export the counts.

Guests can also join from a printed code. See the QR code queue page, or read restaurant waitlist software if you are comparing tools.

FAQ

Questions from the host stand.

What is a restaurant waitlist app?

A restaurant waitlist app replaces the paper list at the host stand. Guests join from their phone, and the host sees party size, quoted wait, and who is next.

Can guests join without downloading an app?

Yes. They scan a QR code or open your link in the phone browser, then enter a name and phone number. There is no app store download and no guest account.

Does it cover walk-ins and reservations?

Walk-ins, reservations, and table management stay in one place.

How does a guest know the table is ready?

WhatsApp sends a message when they join and another when the table is ready. A guest with no phone is called by name.
